I was reading the blog of our hyperthinking friend Marcus, and was shocked and dismayed at the post he had written about a company song produced by One Bank in the US: http://marcus-brown.blog.co.uk/2006/11/08/does_it_goes_much_better~1307990
The song is scary, and shows that there needs to be sometimes a suit and a guitar just doesn’t work together at a corporate event.
This inspired me to comment that some months ago I had watched in utter disbelief the corporate section of Henkel’s site which has an extensive piece on their corporate song: http://www.henkel.com/int_henkel/ourcompany/channel/index.cfm?pageid=351 . Not just the song, the words, but also the making of. I shared this with my team and everyone was convinced that this was a spoof. But apparently not. They really wanted to be ‘A Brand Like A Friend’.
