Managing several social media channels at the same time can be complicated, even daunting sometimes. Indeed, manually switching from account to account, monitoring all conversations and adapting your messages to the different channels takes time that you don’t necessarily have. The good news is that there are some pretty cool tools that can help you better manage your channels.
Hootsuite
Probably the most popular social media management tool out there. Hootsuite allows you to publish or schedule all your posts, monitor hashtags and campaign performances of all your accounts from one web-based dashboard. No need to connect to all your social media platforms anymore, everything is in one place.
Hootsuite offers different packages based on the number of accounts and the number of users you want to register into the system.
Tip: If you decide to use it, download the Hootlet extension. It allows you to quickly share any web content directly from your browser without having to even sign in to your Hootsuite dashboard. Handy!
Social Mention
Social Mention is a media search tool. It allows you to track and analyze any mention of a product, brand or keyword in real time. The single stream will show you the most recent results, metrics on unique authors, reach and frequency of mentions, sentiment, and top associated keywords.
Last but not the least, the tool is free.
Crowdbooster
Crowdbooster gathers data from your Facebook and Twitter accounts. It allows you to schedule posts (as Hootsuite does) as well as to easily keep track of your audience growth, replies, retweets, impressions, likes, comments, and many other metrics. It provides critical data for your social media strategy such as when people are more likely to engage with your posts and who are the key influencers following you.
There are different plans available.
How to choose?
Of course this list is not exhaustive and many social media management tools offer the same types of features as the ones I listed above. The trick is to test several of them and choose the one (or a combination of several tools) that best suit your needs and budget.
