The Time has choosen You as ‘Person of the Year’ for 2006. I’m pretty sure this cover will be become iconic as it represents a shift we have been talking about with our clients for the past several years. Consumers are driving companies to change and taking control of the marketing process through web tools (web 2.0). NGOs have shown that small groups of individual can defeat large traditional lobbies by connecting through the web. So now an institution that normally seeks out an individual for ‘most influential person in the news this year’ has made a paradigm shift. Maybe the aggregate, the ‘many’ have more importance and relevance today than a single superstar. Definitely something we can agree with.
